Course focuses on business models that make it possible to take advantage of the potential that internet provides for commercial use. Student understands challenges and problems related to development of e-Business and electronic services.
Content
Electronic commerce, e-Business and services provided over the internet. Impact of e-Business on traditional business and industries. Business models that rely on and take advantage of internet. Challenges in development of e-Business and electronic services.
Study methods
Participation in teaching, written exam (electronic exam) and exercises. This course is available online (not seminar).
Course unit methods
Lectures 14 h and seminar 6 h. Students must attend seminar meetings. The exam is electronic.
2nd-3rd year, IV period
The electronic exam is open also in the summer period.

- Course PTJ31 is equivalent to former courses PTJ4E (Sähköisen asioinnin ratkaisut), PTJS10E, PTJS10 (E-kaupankäynti) and PTJS4 (E-kauppa). If a student has completed one of the former courses, it is not possible to take the course PTJ31.
- There is one single group in courses PTJ31 and PTJS31. Students in course PTJS31 will be given additional exercises. Student who has already completed course PTJ31 cannot take the course PTJS31.
