The Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) track at the University of Turku prepares students to design and implement these autonomous and intelligent systems. The RAS track focuses on using algorithms in embedded systems, such as drones and small unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), which have limited computing capacity. The track also covers various hardware and software architectures, hardware accelerators, reconfigurable circuits, and device-specific programming, with a focus on integrating intelligence and sensors into actuators. Individual and group assignment projects are an integral part of several courses. These projects and courses utilize different robotic platforms, from aerial robotics to collaborative robots.
