If necessary, student selection is made based on study program, major subject and phase of studies. Priority is given to students majoring in the Cyber Security track of the Master’s Programme in ICT, including EIT Digital Cyber Security entry and exit year students and students majoring in Cyber Security Engineering (kyberturvallisuusteknologia). The course will be offered in period 3 in the academic year 2024-2025. From the academic year 2025-2026 onwards, it will be offered in period 2. \r\n\r\nThe content of the course has a connection to the following UN sustainable development goals: 8. Decent work and economic growth (knowing to prevent and detect cyberattacks can reduce financial losses in industry, govt and banking sectors), 9. Industry, innovation and infrastructure (knowledge to build a resilient infrastructure against cyberattacks is critical for sustained growth), 11. Sustainable cities and communities (safe and secure internet for all genders and age groups in public/private spaces), 16. Peace, justice and strong institutions (public access to information and protect fundamental freedoms online) and 17.
