Next, the lectures focus on various views on how to frame futures research methods in relation to each other. Key futures research methods are addressed in specific lectures, such as scenarios, deterministic modelling, what-if modelling, fuzzy cognitive mapping, Delphi, horizon scanning, causal layered analysis and futures workshops. The use of the methods is illustrated with examples of sustainability issues.
